UPDATED: Help with Neville Goddard and Nevillizing

Please help me with my Nevilllizing TT and V,

I have been doing daily feel it real sessions on my wish for more than a year and nothing has happened or “externalized” so far.

I’m beginning to find it hard to assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled and I’m wondering what I’ve been doing wrong.

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thank you for writing mate.  Let’s take a deep breath, relax, and learn how to feel it real FASTER with this tiny quote from Neville and dive in deeper.

“A short time ago a friend told me she would love to visit Norway, but felt she could not afford it. I suggested that she dwell in Norway by seeing the world from Norway. She was not going to look at Norway from Los Angeles, or ask how she was going to get there, but to simply sleep as though her bed was in Norway and it was the only substance.”

“I received a card from her today, from Norway, where she confessed that she dwelled in the state as though she was there and she received a call from a casting office requesting her to make a picture in Norway!” – Neville Goddard

how_to_feel_it_real_norwayLet’s notice something in how the lady in the story Nevillized.

She simply –  dwelled in – the state – as though she was there.

That’s it.

(Did you notice…)

She didn’t DO, the mistake most people do which is…

She didn’t look to see where she was IN THE WORLD, she didn’t look for evidence to see if she was going, she began SEEING FROM, being in Norway.

(How cool is this?)

POWER POINT: Allowing yourself to FEEL “nothing has happened” creates the circumstance of “nothing has happened”.   Our physical senses are VERY limited, and very limiting.  STOP limiting yourself to them.

When you stop looking for signs, and keep feeling it real – Nevillizing works.

SEE THE WORLD FROM your ideal – already real.

Try these two Feel It Real Methods for 21 days, just have fun with them, use them for heaps of different things you have been wanting – and watch what happens!

1. Neville’s “getting out of the army-technique”, i.e. sleeping where you would be sleeping if your wish was fulfilled, seeing what you would see if that were true, touching what is where you have chosen to be.

2. The Congratulatory Scene: picturing a friend congratulating you on your success and hugging you with great joy.

Those are two of the great methods we share in the Feel It Real PowerPack, methods that we suggest everyone use daily mate.  They work wonders because they position you in a time frame – where it is IMPLIED that your wish – is already – ROCK SOLID REAL.

Remember, one of the major differences between “visualizing” and Feel It Real is this:

Visualization involves “the act itself”, and Feel It Real HAS you FEELING FROM who you are once “the act has already happened”.

Many  blessings,

Mr Twenty Twenty and Victoria

Hi, TT and Victoria – tried to leave a comment up above, but must have made a mistake, ’cause don’t see it. Just wanted to say that all of your ‘Junior Neville-izers’ out here in the community can do what you have done for all of us who have written with our questions, and Nevillize your comment on the website this week: “Hey everyone – thanks and I am announcing that I am pain free!” You and Victoria are loved, blessed and appreciated by so many around the globe. You both are healthy, wealthy and abundant. Regards, Patricia in Florida.

  3. Rose says:

    Hi Mr. TwentyTwenty

Thanks again for your reply, even including a video!

So, ok, I get it that the 10 second method is not an option in my case and so I won‘t try it. However I did place great faith in the two other methods I mentioned and have done them daily, according not only to Neville instructions, but also taking great care to incorporate your wonderful tips, such as making sure that the scene implies that „the act has already happened“ and also to look through my own eyes, touch objects with my own hands, rather than seeing the scene on a movie screen.

Also, you‘re right, something may have happened that I cannot yet perceive with my senses, and it might well be on the verge of externalizing itself. Yet I can‘t help wondering whether I picked the method best suited to my personal situation. So I went through my Neville books and articles once again and I found the following case history of a woman, who – like me – had taken action, but could not solve her problem through taking action (it is from „Awakened Imagination“):

„Two years before, after a violent quarrel, she was ordered out of her son’s home by her daughter-in-law. … She went home (after listening to a lecture by Neville) and she realized that night after night for over two years she had allowed the sun to descend upon her wrath. She thought of this wonderful family that she loved and felt herself ostracized from it, expelled from the home of her son. She did nothing about revising it and yet I had been talking revision to my New York audience for the past year.

This is what she did now. She knew the morning’s mail brought nothing. This was a Wednesday night. There had been no correspondence in two years. She had sent her grandson at least a dozen gifts in the two years. Not one was ever acknowledged. She knew they had been received for she had insured many of them; so she sat down that night and mentally wrote herself two letters–one from her daughter-in-law, expressing a great kindness for her, saying that she had been missed in the home and asking her when she was coming to see them; then she wrote one from her grandson in which he said “Grandmother, I love you”. Then came a little expression of thanks for the last birthday present, which was in April, and then came a feeling of sadness rather because he hadn’t seen her and begging her to come and see him soon.

These two short notes she memorized and then, as she was about to sleep, she took her imaginary hands and held these letters and she read them mentally to herself until they woke in her the feeling of joy because she had heard from her family; that she was wanted once more. She read these letters over and over feeling the joy that was hers because she had received them and fell asleep in her project. For seven nights this lady read these two letters. On the morning of the eighth day she received the letter: on the inside there were two letters–one from her grandson and one from her daughter-in-law. These letters were identical with the letters she had mentally written to herself seven days before.“
So this grandmother wrote the two short notes, memorized them, read them mentally to herself for seven nights and thus revised the estrangement of two years and received the identical letters from her daughter-in-law and her grandson on the eighth day!
Where was the estrangement? Where was the conflict? Where was the source of the displeasure that was like a running sore over two years?“ Neville asks in his article. They were GONE! It didn‘t take this woman a year to reconnect with her loved ones by means of her imagination, it took her eight days.
Now, if I were to try this method, would you suggest I write an imaginary email or text, rather than a letter? Or do you think the means of communication wouldn‘t matter? Would I be having to see my hands on the keyboard, composing the email/text or would it be ok to just read them mentally to myself? Is there anything I have overlooked regarding this technique, which seems so tremendously effective, that you‘d care to point out to me?
    Best regards – Rose

    • Mr Twenty Twenty says:

      Hi Rose,

The most important part is to do what it takes to Feel It Real.

Let me write an article on some specifics around that, until then – do what it takes for you to simply feel it real.

It’s not the specifics around if a letter or email that would matter most, it matters what would naturally happen if that scene involved you.

      Many blessings,

      TT and V

Cryky mate here goes. LOVE the SERMONS and almost at the point of Grokking it when Blam, I get hit with Christ crisis.I feel the essence of Neville´s teaching, then feel out of whack on CHRIST. How can it all make so much sense one moment then mud the next?

    • Mr Twenty Twenty says:

      Hi Rich,

We don’t know mate. You might benefit from our Neville Goddard Simplified series, on this site.

      That’s why we wrote them.

      Blessings to you!

  6. Max says:

The thing that has really turned off the “it isn’t happening” self-chatter for me has been this: knowing that it’s already done. Neville says this repeatedly: that in imagination, infinite possibilities already exist in eternity. Meaning that anything I can access imaginally is already done, right? So if it’s already done, that means there’s no “not happening.” So I can’t blame “it” for not happening. So therefore, why am I not seeing it objectively? If it’s not the fault of something else, then it must be the fault of something I’M DOING. So… do something different. Go deeper.
I have found almost every time that I feel like I’m “getting stuck” or “not seeing results” it’s because I’m holding back in some way.

  7. William says:

    Hi Peter,

Have you ever read or heard Neville Goddard’s 1953 lecture, “Changing the Feeling of I”? It helped me a lot.

    You can read it here:

    http://freeneville.com/free-neville-goddard-lecture-changing-the-feeling-of-i-1953/

It’s basically about changing your inner beliefs in order to bring about change in your outer world. In the lecture, there was a man who was lamenting to Neville about the limitations of his life because of the color of his skin, and when Neville persuaded him to believe that he could be or do anything as long as he believed it, he went to work on himself and it took the guy THREE YEARS of un-learning his negative social conditioning while adopting a new outlook before he was able to see any change. But when he finally did, he was at peace with himself and making $250,000 a year. In 1953!

The key part of the lecture is this:
“So you and I can be anything in this world we desire to be if we will clearly define our aim in life and constantly occupy that aim. It must be habitual. The concept we hold of self that is noble must not be put on just for a moment and taken off when we leave this church. We feel free here; we feel that we have something in common, that’s why we are here, but are we going to wear the noble concept we now hold of self when we go through the door and enter that bus, or are we going to return to the restrictions that were ours prior to coming here? The choice is ours and the hardest lesson to learn is that there is no one in this world that can be drawn into your world unless you, and you alone, call him.”

In addition to your Feel It Real Sessions, what is also crucial is what happens in the rest of your waking life. Are you reverting back to your old method of thinking and feeling the lack/yearning for the thing? Or are you living and walking from the state of the wish fulfilled, living from a place of gratitude and peace that the thing you want to be/do/have is already yours? I think Feel It Real sessions are meant to instill that faith and stability in yourself, to keep reminding you what that state of gratitude and confidence feels like so you can go about your day KNOWING that it’s already yours.

“…so he was presented with a state and without the faculty of discrimination in his youth, he fused with the state and believed these restrictions were true, and it took him three years to disentangle the “I” from these fixed ideas with which he had lived for so many years. Now you may take only a moment or you, too, may take your three years. I can’t tell you how long it’s going to take you but I’ll tell you this much. It can be measured by the feeling of naturalness. You can wear a feeling until it’s natural. The moment the feeling becomes natural, it will begin to bear fruit within your world.”

Persistence is key, but so is the feeling of “naturalness”. As long as your Feel It Real sessions feel NATURAL to you (I used to think they had to be over-the-top glorious with fireworks and a marching band), the more likely you are to believe it and live from it in your daily life. And THAT’S the point when you see change.

“So in changing the “I”, you start with desire, which we will unfold and elaborate on tomorrow night. For it starts with desire. Desire is the spring of action, for you must want to be other than what you are. We fail because we do not fall in love enough with an idea. We aren’t, I would say, moved enough to want to be other than what we are. If I could get you to be completely in love with some state to the point where it haunted the mind, I could almost prophesy that you would in the not distant future externalize that state within your world. And the reason we fail we aren’t hungry enough to change. For either we do not know the law or we haven’t the urge or the hunger to really bring about the change.

For the changing of the feeling of “I” results in the change of reaction, which change of reaction results in a change of world.”

    Hope this helps!

    William

Good stuff! I’m taking you up on the 21 day challenge!

  9. Cindy in NYC says:

Just as there are physical exercises to strengthen our bodies and limbs, so there are mental/spiritual to create for us the peak state. I dearly enjoy walking outside in the predawn, just as the sun comes up, and since I am always alone, my mind wanders to just about everything. I use that time to set a feeling tone for the day – notice my thoughts, to study the way I think about things — for instance, how much time do I spend negativ-izing instead of Neville-izing? First by being aware, then by using new exercises, new techniques. Old habits die hard, what can I say? But I am glad to report than I devote wayyyy less time replaying my angry conversations, ‘what he/she/they did to me back then’ scenarios, etc. They are clearly losing impact and strength. New ideas, new ways of seeing..and of being are taking their place. New ways which will help me feel it real, and incidentally – live in the state of the wish fulfilled.

    • Mr Twenty Twenty says:

      You got it Cindy!
