Hey mate,

Let me ask you a question.   What would you rather do…

Would you rather invest (and risk) $1000 to make $1000 or would you rather invest (and risk) just $10 to make $10,000.

The answer is pretty obvious, isn’t it.

Here’s the deal…   Most people that I ask this question to either say that they would rather risk $10 to make $10,000 or they ask – what’s the catch?

When it comes to investing your imaginal acts – this is exactly how it works.

You CAN make a small investment – and experience HUGE rewards.   But there is one catch.   You’ll get beyond that in just a few minutes.  What you are going to learn today is going to help you manifest much more easier – much more effectively – and you will have much more fun doing so.   Let’s dive in.

“You change your future best when you are in control of your thoughts while in a state akin to sleep, for then effort is reduced to its minimum. Your attention seems to completely relax, and then you must practice holding your attention within that feeling, without using force, and without using effort.” – Neville Goddard

Notice there is a PATTERN here.

  • RELAX first.
  • Then FOCUS.

If you skip RELAXING (into the state akin to sleep) and try to DIRECTLY go from FOCUSING on your worldly duties  to FOCUSING on “your ideal as real” – you will probably find that it takes great EFFORT to shift those gears.  (It’s like trying to shift gears in an old Manual Transmission – without a clutch – while pouring on the gas.   (Not healthy, not good.)  And that effort – that struggle –  that will end up in your  manifesting and in your manifestations.

Think of it this way…

“The STATE you are in WHILE you are imagining your wish fulfilled – WILL be remarkably similar if not absolutely identical to the STATE you will experience WHEN it becomes real in the physical world too.” – Mr Twenty Twenty

So stop forcing.  Instead…  Relax into what you want.

  • (This is just like swimming, if you STOP and learn how to float first, swimming is much easier.)

To make your manifesting much easier and much more effective, take a few moments, a few times a day – and just practice getting into the State Akin To Sleep.   That’s just like learning how to float in the water, which makes swimming fun and easy.

But, here’s the catch.

  • Everyone CAN make excuses.  
  • Everyone CAN set themselves up for failure.


We always hear the same excuses.

They always come with stories.   And they always can be put to rest – when you are ready.   Let’s dive into them and bury them dead once and for all (so you get what you want.)

Lame Excuse #1:  “I don’t have time.”

Guess what.   We all have 24 hours a day.  Make the time.    I used to do make the time at work in the men’s room.   I’d sneak off, grab a stall, sit down and DO what it takes.    That was when I was wiping butt’s for money in the old folks home.   Guess what, I don’t have that crappy job anymore.   I used to make the time when I was a salesman.  I would pull over on the side of the road, set my alarm for 15 minutes and DIVE IN.    That was another high pressure job that I don’t have or need anymore.    Next!

Lame Excuse #2:  “My mind won’t slow down.”

I had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for a few years.   If there is ANYONE on the planet who can understand having a mind that won’t slow down, it’s me.   Here’s the good news, your mind WILL slow down – if you take the time to slow it down.

You are bigger than “your mind”.

So take the time every day and slow it down.   To help, you might want to cut back on sugar, caffeine, and other culprits that put the body on tilt.    And you’ll find once you do learn how to “slow your mind down” at will, that you can at will “speed it up too”.  You won’t need sugar and caffeine to do that for you.     You’ll be able to enjoy them when you want them, and odds are it will be much less frequently than it is now for most people.

So deal with “the catch”.   Eliminate your excuses, practice the State Akin To Sleep.   The more you do, the more effective ALL of your imagining will be – even the “uptime imagining” that happens every time you tell a story – or have a scene play out inside your mind.

And  Follow-The-Formula.  (Making it up as you go along, combining a bit of this and a bit of that, well that’s just not smart.   Neither is assuming you already know how to do this.  As you know from reading the articles – there are heaps of bits that most people miss.  I needed help early on, and I’m glad I stopped and got it.  It made all the difference.)

Feel-It-Real and create the life you want.   Follow-The-Formula and make a huge difference in the world.   Because every single time a member here succeeds, and every single time they share that success and how they did it with others – lives are totally transformed.

    Good advice, maybe the kick up the ass I need.

    The problem I have is there are so many things I’d like to change or improve, but with the advice here it seems like you can only really work on one thing or area at a time.

    I’ve been focussing on affirmations, and I would like to start implementing your/Neville’s advice, but I fear for neglecting certain things if I am just doing sessions on one particular area at a time.

    How can I work on more than one thing at a time and still be effective? Do you have any advice about having balance with these techniques?

    I use mood music, Dr. James Twyman, is supposed musical sends that are 'I AM' in notes. Works well so I can stop Achin and start akin!

    You can definitely work on several areas at the same time in life. In fact, that is one way to not be OBSESSIVE about “the one thing” that you need to change. (Lots of people get stuck on THE ONE THING.)

    Wonderful article, Twenty. Yes, it is about remembering TO DO IT… I too use music – you know I use Jeffrey Gignac’s work often to more immediately bring me into that state akin to sleep. I think every tool we have – without dependency – is fantastic.
    Like reading you every day: perfect reminder of all I can be and have and experience – and yes…. the how to do it. Thank you Thank you Thank you

    Thanks TT, I searched for more than one desire but hadn’t seen that particular post.

    After reading that I’m thinking of focusing on 2 things at the moment, doing 3 sessions a day, 1 or 2 sessions for each desire.

    HOLY COW! This means the opposite too… if you are angry, forceful, and full of effort to get intentions out, this is what manifestations you get back… of how hard things are to manifest, and full of effort, and thinking when is the life I want gonna start happening for me… kind of manifestations??

    Hey TT & V,
    Great trick for getting into that state I have found useful. Start with any prayer you want seeing the words in your mind then put your focus in between the words. Ie. Holy father full of grace. See the words in your head and then shift backwards to a gap between words. Stay there. Mind tends to shut off and easier to relax until you know body & mind are relaxed enough to go through scene with action.

    I’m not sure I understand. The big thing is “make it easy”.

    Making it a struggle, just brings more struggle into your life.

    Woow! Love it when you crack the whip! Often times I think we don´t do it because we forget, and it gets lost in our hectic lives. So, a thought just came to mind. We should a Neville alarma to remind us it´s time to drop everything and go into the state!

    Twenty – a year later from when I first read this, and I can say that this is part of my life every single day. From last year, I can say that it is now a matter of degree. of efficacy. of peace. of results.
    Now, like I mentioned to you last night – I can see when I take my entire morning (which I can do, I have created that kind of time in my lifestyle) and re-read, go through a few emails and lessons at a time… and when I share with my friend in Neville during the week… I am absolutely in-spired.
    Immersion feels so good.
    So I wanted to thank you again, and share publicly that the regularity of the feel it real, the state akin to sleep causes…literally, the life and the FEELING I want for my life and my self.
    And peak experiences are regular states. Love knowing this. Inspired “hits” as well as prolonged periods resting in the awareness of who I am. It is starting to feel like home.

  16. I have trained my consciousness to move automatically into ‘chatting as I wake up”..I can now do it, literally as I am emerging from sleep, stretching my toes, still under the covers in bed. I start by feeling it real in the new physical/mental space I am imagining. I then have a delightful conversation with the young man (his name’s John) I imagine mentoring, also is working with us, living in our house with hubby and me. We plan the meals for the catering day, (all of this as I am waking, mind you) and just enjoy that moment together, as we decide what will happen, and how great it is going to be – and how cool it already IS!!
