My late father’s small property was sold a month ago in Arizona, just after he died. I was busy with mom, here in NYC, and totally ignored any talk of ‘an estate’.

BTW: We maxed out one credit card during mom’s final months of care, for various needed things. When I got the bill.. I just wrote the check for the whole balance and dropped it in the mail.
“The wise, productive use of money”, this assumes the wish fulfilled: you will ALWAYS have an abundant supply of money, to use wisely, well, and with an open hand. Moreover…I have a suspicion that that is a wealth PRODUCING strategy. Pay the bills, no hesitation…!! :-))
