Free Neville Goddard Quote: Touching Prayer

Hey mate,

Today’s Free Neville Goddard Quote and lesson has Neville sharing with us his second way of prayer, that we call touching prayer.

“Make yourself comfortable… put yourself into a position where you have the greatest ease. That is the first stage. To know what you want is the start of prayer.

Secondly you construct in your mind’s eye one single little event which implies that you have realized your desire… One simple little thing like the shaking of a hand, embracing a person, the receiving of a letter, the writing of a check, or whatever would imply the fulfillment of your desire.

The minute you feel this lovely drowsy state, or the feeling of gathered togetherness… When you get that feeling you can be quite sure that you are in the perfect state to pray successfully. In this feeling it is easy to TOUCH anything in this world. You take the simple little restricted action which implies fulfillment of your prayer and you feel it or you enact it. Whatever it is, you enter into the action as though you were an actor in the part. You do not sit back and visualize yourself doing it. You do it.” – Neville Goddard

Notice how important it is to be in the “lovely drowsy state”, it’s sort of a state where we melt into “all that is”. When in that state – Neville says to TOUCH something in the constructed scene – that follows and IMPLIES the state of the wish fulfilled. Shake the hand of those who congratulate you. Touch the railing of the ship that is taking you home. Put your hand in the hand of your beloved.

Just make sure that it is part of the scene the FOLLOWS the wish fulfilled, and that you feel the touch – because that touch is REAL.
