Today’s Free Neville Goddard lesson continues our exploring of the Lecture – Imagination Fulfills Itself – available at FreeNeville.com
Neville tells us to “catch God in the moment” and we will know what is going to happen in our lives. The major key is to STOP the thoughts and feelings that we do not want – stop them entirely – THEN shift into that which we do.
When I was training my Karate team back in the old days, I would tell them if ANY fantasies of failure showed up inside their minds – to stop them with a simple phrase – and then focus entirely on the outcome they would choose to have in their lives.
The simple phrase we used then, which is my gift to you today is, “That’s what I WAS worried about”. That phrase shifts it into PAST thinking, and opens the door to NEW FOCUSED FROM THE DESIRED END thinking. Use it as many times as you need to, and ALWAYS end WITH your DESIRED END in mind – having been fulfilled.

“Listen to your thoughts and you will hear God’s words! A thought that is not felt produces nothing. But a thought producing motor elements reproduces itself! Catch God in a moment of a motor element such as anger, fear, or frustration, being congratulated or congratulating, and you will know what is going to happen in your world. Unless, of course you arrest your thoughts and revise them. Most of us, however, are not aware of what we are doing, so we do not observe the creator. But we can catch him as he streams into our surface mind least disguised in the form of productive fancy.” – Neville Goddard
How to Catch God in the moment – revise your mind – change your world. All in 1 sentence.
"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."
Good stuff, I'll start using the phrase because it makes sense to me.
That’s what I was so worried about. This sentence has such a profound effect. Thank you.
Thanks for the great article about Neville Goddard.
Thanks William. I agree, the power is in the simplicity.
This article on Neville Goddard answered questions I have had for some time. I have been reading Neville for 20 years. Thank you.
I love the phrase ‘that’s what I WAS worried about’. that simple word shift from ‘am’ to ‘was’ releases it. Brilliant.

Observing your Neville lesson I notice that you present: ‘catch God in THE moment’ as an isolated teaching. Neville presents: ‘catch God in A moment of motor element such as anger, fear, or frustration, being congratulated or congratulating….’ and you observe the Creator in them all therefore know what is going to happen.
Catch God in THE moment as singular statement is a different teaching. At least the 2 feel very different to me. Neville’s teaching. Catch God in the moment feels more to me like “Find God in the moment” or “Observe God in the moment” – it is more about the presence – catching (seeing) the presence in the moment. It’s about Presence. Neville’s to me feels more about the act of creation in that instant. ‘observe the Creator in them all …” and since it is about the act of creation by the Creator , you know what is going to happen.
Did you follow all that? 😉
