“I really enjoy the way you interpret Neville (Power Explained), and make it much easier to understand what he is meaning, I have a question, I decide what I want, then I visualize that situation, I can’t quite get it to feel as though I’m in the situation completely, To get lost in the picture. Are there some helpful tips and tricks to doing that, to actually lose myself into that so that I’m surprised and amazed when I awake?” – Dorothy
Hi Dorothy,
There are three main ways the mind thinks, and using all three of them in your sessions is vital, because each of the 3 main ways of thinking – activates power differently inside your mind.
First, let’s start with visualization, since you mentioned that in your letter, that is probably where you need some help. Seeing images is one of the most common ways we use our minds. It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and that is absolutely true.
What we want to notice is, are you making images FROM the state of the wish fulfilled / or ABOUT the state of the wish fulfilled.
Here is a great example, of how to make sure you are doing it right, so you get the results you want. I had a friend who wanted to be a great public speaker, but his visualizations weren’t working for him, and he was frustrated. He told us, he kept imagining what he would look like on stage, what he would look like if he was a great public speaker. I asked him to describe it to me, and he said that it felt nice, like he was watching a video, of him being relaxed and confident on the stage.
He was doing his sessions daily, but he was frustrated because it wasn’t working, his sessions felt NICE, but they didn’t feel REAL. And he wanted to know what to do about it.
I asked him to tell me about the audience, and he looked at me with a blank expression on his face, and that said it all. Here’s the deal.
He wasn’t seeing FROM the stage, he wasn’t seeing through his own eyes at all. Neville says, to see FROM the stage, and in his case it was literal. Making a movie of himself speaking confidently – even though it felt nice – didn’t feel real. His movie (which showed him on stage) didn’t feel real, because that is not now you experience, really experience – speaking from the stage – confidently.
So I used what we call, Neville’s Ladder Of Success. We had him close his eyes, then led him into the state akin to sleep, and told him, “I want you to see your audience, very interested, very entertained, very impressed with you. I want you to see the members of your audience, from your position on the stage, through your own eyes, as you are giving another one of your amazing talks.”
His body immediately relaxed even more, took on the tones of confidence, and he began to smile big – all while still doing his feel it real session. Afterward, he told me that it was his best one ever. He went on to be a great to be a great speaker as well.
TODAY’S TAKE AWAY
When using the power of visualization in your session, make sure you are seeing FROM your own eyes, what your world is like, as your ideal is real. Make sure you are NOT seeing your own body, but you are seeing WITH your own eyes. Like you do in daily life. This is one way to make sure, you fully feel your ideal as real.
There are two other powers of mind to make sure you use in your sessions, Auditory (hearing) and Feeling (Emotion and Sensation. PTSD FREE gives the reader 7 exercises to fully develop the power of Imaginary Auditory. Use visual as we explain it in this article, with auditory as we teach in PTSD FREE, to lead the imagination into the state of fully feeling, with both Sensation and Emotion your ideal as real.
Have a great day, and thank you Dorothy for your question today.
Mr Twenty Twenty and Victoria.
PS: In the Neville Goddard quote below, do what Neville says. Climb that ladder. See what your ladder looks like, see what your hands look like, from your own eyes, as you climb your ladder. Time to rock and roll. Feel your ideal as real.
“The difference will be appreciated if you will now visualize yourself climbing a ladder. Then, with eyelids closed imagine that a ladder is right in front of you and FEEL YOURSELF ACTUALLY CLIMBING IT. Experience has taught me to restrict the imaginary action which implies fulfillment of the desire, to condense the idea into a single act, and to re-enact it over and over again until it has the feeling of reality.” – Neville Goddard
