Hey mate,
If you think that the way to create a new car in your life is to imagine the car in detail, what it feels like, what it smells like, how it sounds… stop for just a moment, and raise your right hand in the air.
Do it now, for just a second, even if there are people around you. Don’t worry, they are probably hopelessly lost in their own imaginings to notice. Once you’ve done that, keep reading and dive in.
Let’s begin with today’s Neville Goddard Lesson, taken directly from Mental Diets – by Neville Goddard.
“The two who must agree are your inner conversation and the state desired. That is, what you desire to see and hear without, you must see and hear within. Every stage of man’s progress is made by the conscious exercise of his imagination matching his inner speech to his fulfilled desire.”
The Mistake People Make: I just saw a post on the internet yesterday, that tells you to focus on what your ideal car feels like, what it smells like, it’s color etc. Notice that this is not what Neville tells us to do above. (And this is the step where most people invest TONS of imaginal time.)
Your Creative Correction: Construct inside your mind – the conversations you have – once you have – the car you want – in this example. Have those conversations, include details of OWNERSHIP. Talk about the feel of the seats, the feel of the wind in your hair, and the joy of ownership and accomplishment. Focus your MIND so that you FEEL gratitude and excitement in your conversations. But focus primarily on those conversations, your INNER SPEECH.
“As we control our inner talking, matching it to our fulfilled desires, we can lay aside all other processes. Then we simply act by clear imagination and intention: we imagine the wish fulfilled and carry on mental conversations from that premise.”
The Mistake People Make: Not focusing on the inner conversations, focusing on the “stuff”instead. Conversations involve YOU and the people in your world. Stuff – doesn’t.
Your Creative Correction: Create a simple, clear intention of ownership, then create conversations around the experience of ownership. The next step is to know exactly WHO you wish to have conversations with about it. Share with them the excitement, the gratitude, the experience of owning the car. This makes it MUCH more real, than just imagining the leather seats and the color of the car. Conversations make it real.
“The right inner speech is the speech that would be yours were you to realize your ideal. In other words, it is the speech of fulfilled desire.”
Summary: Don’t focus on the thing, focus on the conversations – that imply – your experience of the car – the accomplishment of ownership – the excitement of sharing it with a friend.
This is how you Feel Your Ideal as Real. Do it daily, because you are the operant power.

“There are two gifts which God has bestowed upon man alone and on no other mortal creature. These two are Mind and Speech, and the gift of Mind and Speech is equivalent to that of immortality. If a man uses these two gifts rightly, he will differ in nothing from the Immortals. And when he quits his body, Mind and Speech will be his guides, and by them he will be brought into the troop of the gods and the souls that have attained to bliss.”
I think this post alone clears most of the misunderstanding people have regarding manifesting using Imagination and Visualization. Buddha talks of " Right Speech", I reckon he meant , Right Inner Speech.
Right on mate! Whooo yah! Thank you.
TT you are cranking it up Neville would be so very proud of you! uh and he most likely is.
Thank you Conni!
Blessings!
Good post!
The old parable/joke of the man drowning, who calls on God to save him, then refuses a few boat rides to safety (still waiting on God), then he drowns and goes to Heaven where he says “God you didn’t help me” and God says “I sent you 3 boat rides”. The man really should have of Imagined being out of the water and he would have boarded the first boat, GO TO THE END. Similarly, if you Imagine a car, in some way it will appear, but not necessarily as a car you own. Better to shake hands with the salesman who says “Congratulations on your new car”.
Conni! Yes indeed, I couldn’t agree more with your shared thoughts that Neville would be so proud. Twenty, it is so true – you open the doors to it all so….easily and so friendly and so accessible.
Love it more everyday.

Thankyou ~ Rocksolid gold…
This is so great! And I think most of us do this a lot.. But we imagine the bad stuff, the bad conversations instead.. When I was a child, I did this all the time. Imagined the good stuff though, because I felt lonely or that things wasn’t quite the way I wanted it to be.. And it turned out great in some ways. I’ve also did this before job interviews.. Imagined the conversations, seeing myself getting the job – having the job.. And it have always worked out. But sometimes it didn’t end up the way i thought it would, either better and sometimes not so good.. But when it comes to love, I have some work to do. And I think I have to find that child again, “playing” with the good thoughts and good conversations in my head.. Big love to all of you!!
The greatest thing about the movie, the Secret was that it eventually led me here and introduced me to Neville! There are people that are still using the Secret and its “guru’s” as a guide. I was one of them for a year or so. I don’t have anything against the folks in that movie, they just don’t tell the whole story. Thanks TT&V!
Many thank TT. Dennis, i am also listening to the audio of the power and gratitude by rhonda byrne while driving or riding my bicycle and it realy feels good to listen. But this article of TT is an eye opening to me.thanks!
Thanks Dennis!
Blessings to you mate!
This lesson coming around again…yes, and more yes. I love the absolutely clarity you give on each and every lesson. I, working with so many of the “new thought” teachers and coaches as I do – it is absolutely true that this is a big one that is missed, not taught and not shared. Excellent.
