The Seven-Minute Solution
Let’s call this the seven-minute solution to depression – to the battle in the mind – to anxiety
It’s really sweet.
Neville Goddard was pure genius.
He said,
- If you believe, you will not pass another, without lifting their cross.
- And if you do that, your own cross is lifted.
- And you discover you are light itself.
I ignored that for years.
I was too busy battling in my mind.
Persisting. Arguing with imaginary resistance.
When I finally caught this, my PTSD ended.
My anxiety ended.
My depression ended.
For me, anxiety was on one hand, depression on the other.
Maybe that’s just my experience. Your’s may vary.
So here’s what I do every day.
Every single day. But it’s probably not for the reason most people think
I take a seven-minute walk.
I walk the length of my fence. And I imagine lovingly – something specific – for every single person who passes me – or who pops into mind.
Since I do this every – single day…
I gave it a silly little name.
The Mr. 2020 Power Walk.
Because that’s who I am.
And that’s what I am.
And that’s what you are.
Neville taught,
You are the operant power of God.
Your desires are divine in origin.
I keep sharing….
You’re 100% human.
And 100% divine.
Being human, you’re still going to step in dog poop.
Can’t help it.
And dog poop stinks.
If you’re barefoot, it gets between your toes.
Yucky.
So what do you do? When you step into the dog poop of life?
Most people enter the battle of the mind.
Stop it.
Cancel it.
Affirm it away.
Distract yourself.
Comedy.
Mood music.
Brainwave tracks.
We used to call it coping.
Now they call it emotional regulation.
I did that for years.
Waste of time.
Here’s what I do instead.
I walk.
Your body is designed to walk.
To bounce.
There’s a book about it.
Born to Walk or something like that.
Walking matters.
While I walk,
I do what Neville taught.
I imagine lovingly.
Specifically.
For every person who passes me by.
And everyone who pops into mind.
Sometimes it’s you.
Sometimes it’s Dom.
Sometimes Vanessa.
Sometimes it’s a pregnant lady walking her dog.
I don’t imagine “have a nice day.”
I imagine something specific.
Something yummy.
I don’t know why I imagine what I imagine.
I just follow the pull.
Here’s the twist.
You are how God has the adventure of a lifetime.
Neville says, you are the operant power of God.
If you want to discover that, you have to behave like it.
Not fake positive.
Not spiritual scripting. (What ever that is.)
Just this.
You will not pass another without lifting their cross.
So take a walk.
Imagine something specific and lovely for everyone who passes and everyone who pops into your mind.
Even if it makes no sense.
Trust.
When I imagine a man playing Legos with his kids, I don’t know if he has kids.
When I imagine a girl riding a horse, I don’t know why.
They can accept it or reject it.
That’s their business.
They don’t need to know what I’ve done.
And remember, if you choose to do this, while you imagine lovingly for them, at the same time, your own cross is lifted.
This is The Master State.
Neville calls it Jesus Christ.
Your imagination is Jesus Christ.
Your savior.
So why not use it the way it was designed?
Look at someone.
Imagine something specific and good.
Drop rational.
Let divinity lead.
That’s when the glory shows up.
I hope this gives to you too.
