Let’s look at what we can glean from the Neville Goddard Quotes below.
“The physical body is an emotional filter. Many human ailments, hitherto considered purely physical, are now recognized as rooted in emotional disturbances.” – Neville Goddard
One thing we notice, the more we take the time to feel ANY ideal as real, the less often we experience lasting pain or sickness in any form. That doesn’t mean that we never get sick, but it does mean that sickness is much more rare, and healing happens much more quickly.
The key seems to be, that when you and your body experience Feeling Your Ideal As Real, that is both a healing act and a creative act. It takes you beyond the stress of the hope / fear cycle that is draining on all levels. That’s why we do our sessions daily. Let’s move onto the subject of pain.
“Pain comes from lack of relaxation. When you sleep there is no pain. If you are under an anesthetic, there is no pain because you are relaxed, as it were. If you have pain it is because you are tense and trying to force something. You cannot force an idea into embodiment, you simply appropriate it. It is attention minus effort. Only practice will bring you to that point where you can be attentive and still be relaxed.” – Neville Goddard
If you have pain, you are trying to force something. This is true of all kinds of pain, physical and mental / emotional. Have you noticed how many times Neville says to SLEEP (relax into) the state of the wish fulfilled? This removes the emotional pain of not having experienced your wish as fulfilled. Emotional pain and physical pain ultimately have the same origins. And you will find, the more Feel It Real sessions you do GENERALLY, the easier it is for you to let go of physical pain.
Now, let’s move into how you can apply this to EVERYTHING you have ever wanted in your life.
“Attention is tension toward an end, and relaxation is just the opposite. Here are two completely opposite ideas that you must blend until you learn, through practice, how to be attentive, but not tense. The word “contention” means “attention minus effort.” In the state of contention you are held by the idea without tension.” – Neville Goddard
How do you hold attention on the wish fullfilled – and relax into it at the same time? Let’s explore how Neville did this so naturally.
Remember, Neville was a dancer, before he was a minister. Dancers have to physically and mentally learn how to perform physically demanding routines that require 100% of their attention, while being in the most relaxed state possible – so he could move gracefully and beautifully. This is one reason why he was able to do what he did – with his manifestation methods.
Neville knew how to have that perfect balance between “attention” and “relaxation”.
How can you develop this skill?
We have done heaps of Tai Ji and Yoga. Both of those demand a strong balance of “attention and relaxation”. So does singing, so does just about any physical activity that people consider “beautiful”. How many ways would your life change, if you took a tiny little bit of time each day to explore something like yoga or singing, that would help you explore the dynamic of attention and relaxation?
Do you HAVE to do something physical to develop this skill? No you don’t, but we’ve noticed that many people who succeed wildly with these methods do have some kind of history exploring “beautiful activities” that demand the perfect balance of “attention and relaxation”. And of course, you can simply explore this in your sessions. Develop the ability to focus the imagination, while relaxing deeper and deeper. You will know you have done this, when you remain focused – while deeply relaxed – falling asleep into the feeling of the wish fulfilled.

I have done Feel It Real sessions only scattered-ly (if there’s such a word) in the last while and I noticed yesterday that my chronic pains here and there have been absent lately… I know the power of this since long but it’s one thing to know it intellectually and a whole other to experience and know it viscerally…
